Project Overview

The project I will be doing is creating an orchestral piece. An orchestral piece is a song that uses orchestra instruments. For my project, I will be using Ableton, which is a digital music software. In Ableton, I can program different sounds to play different notes when I want them, too. I can have many different tracks, both midi and audio tracks. Midi tracks are what I can program notes into, and audio tracks are where I paste in audio files (I mostly use audio tracks for effects, like drums). I hope you enjoy observing the process I've been through creating an orchestral piece!

Collaboration

I used collaboration in this project for feedback. I mostly used my parents for feedback since we can't really go anywhere during the quarantine. One of my close friends who lives in New York, though, is very familiar with Ableton and digital music. We both love creating music. I have used him for the more constructional aspect of feedback since he knows a lot about music.

Daniel Anderson

I am 14 years old, and live in Naugatuck, Connecticut. My favorite hobbies are playing soccer, drawing, and creating music. I've always loved music. It all started when I was five, and I started taking piano lessons. Ever since I have been drawn to music.
