For my Pip midway presentation, I received a lot of feedback. Some of it was good and some of it was bad. What I learned from this feedback is that I really need to work on my presenting skills. For example, speaking a little louder, making eye contact and talking slower. I think a big part of why I didn't do that great was because even though I practiced, I wasn't prepared enough and when I started talking I felt like a wave of anxiety come over me. So to prevent this next time, I am going to practice more. In terms of being on track, I'm pretty much on track but I am definitely not going to complete my goal. But I have improvised and created a new goal. To complete as many drawings as I can within the time period. I would hope to get 1 drawing per week for the next 3 weeks. Right now I have 4 drawings completed and I hope to have at least 6.

This week I've been working on my presentation for my pip. I have finished the first few slides and I have begun to do some editing. I have also made major progress on my strawberry drawing. Currently I have finished the chocolate drip. While I was drawing the chocolate, I implemented a drawing technique that I've learned. The technique is where you layer on the color pencil a little at a time until its completely opaque. This is supposed to help with blending. I think it was a success! I was able to blend better and I got better coverage! Overall, I hope to finish this drawing by Friday of next week:)

This week was a very productive week! I started on 2 more drawings. Yesterday I worked on my strawberry drawing by laying out the foundation for the chocolate drip. I hope to work on this drawing next week and maybe finish it by the end of next week. If I complete my goal I will start working on the egg!

Today I will start working on another drawing! I will be drawing an egg! I have already picked out a reference that I found on Pinterest. I picked this drawing because it had the perfect level of difficulty and it didn't seem to hard. Hopefully I will have most of it done by the end of the week. I also started a drawing of a strawberry. The reason I picked the strawberry is because it had lots of highlights and depth. Practicing these drawing techniques will hopefully make me a better artist:)

YAY! I FINISHED THE SPLAT! Today I finally finished the splat! I think it looks great. One thing I think I can improve on is blending. With this piece I didn't really need to blend but in certain spots I had to, and it didn't look great. Next time I will use some techniques I found to try to blend a little better.

This is my progress so far on my splat drawing. I have almost finished the first half of my drawing. I just have to blend the shadows and then I can start working on my second half.

My micro goal for today was to map out shadows and highlights in my drawing. Today I finished mapping everything out and figuring out where all the colors are going to go. I'd say that I completed my goal! What made me successful was that I focused and worked hard at my micro goal. :)

Today was the first day of working on our PIP projects! I started working on my logo and started on another drawing. For my logo I knew I wanted to include my signature so I wrote the words in my "flowy" handwriting. I drew a hand holding a pen and I used a copyright free image of a notebook to symbolize drawing. Then because I wanted to be fancy, I added a little watercolor streak in the back. I did all of this on an app called "ibis paint x" I have on my computer. Overall I think I did a pretty good job and the logo shows exactly what my project is about.

So over the weekend I have a few goals. First of all, I would like to complete my final reflection. So far I have a little more than half of it done and I would like to complete the rest. I just have to get a quote from my friend Audrey who has helped along the way. Another thing I would like to get done is spell checking my posts and making sure all of my uploads have photos attached to them. The last goal I have is to complete the 2 other posts I need to officially enter myself in expo fest. Overall I feel ready for judges to look at my launchpad and see all the hard work I have done over the past months.
(Side note- I uploaded this post on Monday May 10th but I had written it out on Saturday May 8th)

This week I've gotten a lot done. I made a slideshow showcasing the before and afters of what I've done, picked out and started working on a new drawing and gone back and edited older posts for spelling and grammar mistakes. As well as completing my strawberry. As the deadline comes closer I'm really trying my hardest to get stuff done. I've completed a good amount of drawings that really showcase what i'm learning. One thing that I would say just for self-feedback, I should have been more focused on drawing than other things such as worksheets and such. I have been realizing that I've been procrastinating. And in the future I would like to work on that. Next week I wanna try to complete a drawing a day. I can make them small but I wanna do like a speed round. I would really like to make that happen.
