Project Overview

My project is all about ham radio. Ham radio is a radio that you can transmit signals like Morse code, or whatever you want to say. You can communicate with people from all over the world on it, if you have your licence. So, I decided to study radio to get my licence. I will take you through my journey of getting my licence.

Collaboration

I got a lot of help from my grandpa this project. He is a ham radio operator himself, and he has already gone through pretty much the same question's that I have. I relied on him for lots of electrical parts help, and just ham radio in general. I also got help from Andrew Grivner and Owen Palmer. They helped me fine tune my logo and get it to a level of understanding and excellence.

Lincoln Nichols

Hi, my name is Lincoln. I live in Woodbury with my dog, Mom, Dad, sister, other sister, and brother. I am in the 13th chapter of my life. I like to play basketball, soccer, and track. I also like to play video games and cook. A couple years ago my grandpa taught me about electricity, like how to skin a wire, or install an outlet. That kind of sparked my interest for what I am doing for my PIP. I think that it is very important to know how to do electrical stuff for when you get older. Some of these life skills might help you along big time in the near future, so that's why I think everyone should have at least a basic understanding of this topic.
