Project Overview
For approximately five years now, I have been doing a sport called BMX, which is just Motorcross on bicycles. Over the years I have collected a multitude of bikes and spare parts. After looking through the stuff that I do have in my garage, I decided it would be a creative and fun experience, to take parts and materials that I have, build a bike for myself, and then fully customize it using paint and vinyl. The final product will be the completed bike, fully built and functional, and customized.
Collaboration
For this project, I have a number of people around that could help me with this. For the time that both my brother and I have been doing BMX, my dad has been the biggest help when it came to fixing the bikes, getting new parts, tuning them up, and replacing parts. Not too long ago, my dad helped me completely take apart my race bike so I could paint it and then put it back together. My dad also has lots of experience in mechanical work and knows his way around a toolbox.
Also, through my years I have accumulated a group of friends, just as interested in bikes as I am. They have all built their own bikes, and have helped me with emergency bike fixes from time to time. They are also an option for consulting for this project.
